Minimum Entry Requirements
Engineering Skills Academy Apprenticeship
GCSEs: 5 Grades A – D
(Inc. Maths, English)
Gold Engineering Apprenticeship
Higher Level Apprenticeship – Foundation Degree Engineering
Must satisfy the general UCAS tariff entry requirements for their chosen Foundation Degree
A range of level 3 entry qualifications are accepted, including A Levels, Access courses, BTEC Awards etc.
SWC welcomes applications from industry based candidates who may not possess formal qualifications but who have significant industrial experience.

All applications must be typed, completed in full, signed and returned either via email or post.
Qualifications – students who are currently sitting exams need to put down their expected grades.
What sports do you play? This shows team work and dedication. What are your hobbies? Are you creative, active, help with charities, fix cars, bake cakes, part of a drama society?
Think carefully! Use examples from school projects (Science/ Technology) Part time jobs – summer work experience etc.
Why a career in…
Where did your interest stem from? From what age? What is it that you like to do and how this relates to your chosen career? What personal attributes do you have that will make you successful in this area?

Wednesday 19th June 2019 Aptitude Testing
24th – 27th June 2019 Interviews
28th June 2019 Letters of offer (conditional offers)
22nd August 2019 GCSE Results Day (2nd round of recruitment in August to be confirmed)
2nd September Course start date
