Sustainable Buildings

South West College has placed sustainability at the very heart of the design of a number of our Campus buildings.

The Erne Campus

The Erne Campus will be the first educational building and largest in the world to achieve the Passive House Premium status and the BREEAM Outstanding certification for sustainable design. The campus will open its doors to students for the first time in September 2021 and will offer world class teaching and learning facilities, ensuring that students are equipped with the skills to make an immediate impact in industry not just locally, but globally. The Campus has been designed to make significant cost savings in energy usage and will lead the way in the design and construction of educational buildings throughout the world for decades to come.
