South West College (SWC) hopes to strengthen Northern Ireland’s marine economy by adapting existing technology and maximising the potential of the province’s aquatic resources.
On Tuesday 4th April senior leaders from across Northern Ireland’s Further Education (FE) sector and the Department for the Economy (DfE) came together with key stakeholders from Invest NI, Innovate UK, and InterTrade Ireland, to strengthen the sectors focus on innovation development and growth.
South West College has been shortlisted for a Responsible Business Award by Business in the Community Northern Ireland. Shortlisted in the Employer of Choice category sponsored by Arthur Cox Solicitors, South West College has demonstrated excellence in motivating and developing employees in a healthy and inclusive workplace which offers opportunities for all.
Science and engineering, life sciences, software development and creative industries featured in the annual College BEST (Business & Education through Training & Skills) Awards. The awards celebrate the creative and innovative talent within Northern Ireland’s six regional further education (FE) colleges in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
The Dungannon Campus recently hosted an evening for the College’s trainee hairdressing students and industry professionals with the award winning Hairdresser, Joanne O’Neill.
