Dungannon students share climate concerns with Councillors and MLAs as part of SWC's CARE Project

Erasmus+ funded project provides a platform for Northern Ireland’s youngest citizens to contribute to the fight against global warming.
Year 10 students from St Patrick’s College Dungannon have been working with South West College on the Climate Action in Rural Environments (CARE) project and recently presented findings from their project research to MLAs and members of Mid Ulster District Council.

SWC's Renewable Engine Programme shortlisted for Prestigious Green Gown Research Award

Awards recognise Excellence in Sustainability during Extraordinary Times
Renewable Engine, a €6.1M EU INTERREG VA funded cross-border Research and Innovation programme, led by South West College has been announced as a finalist at this year’s UK and Ireland Green Gown Awards. The College is the only further education college on the island of Ireland to make the shortlist and will compete with institutions including Lancaster University, London College of Fashion and University of Portsmouth for the Research with Impact – Institution prize.

South West College leading the way in renewable energy education

South West College is established as the lead educator in the area of wind turbine and renewable energy technologies in Northern Ireland.  This reputation has enabled the College to develop close links with the energy community in the UK, Europe and across the world.
