Lauren Crozier from Omagh is following her passion for Engineering and ‘Earning while she Learns’ at South West College (SWC), Omagh. Lauren is studying the Ulster University Foundation Degree in Engineering with Specialism in Mechatronics
, part-time. This allows her to work full-time as a Higher Level Apprentice (HLA) at Scotts Bakery, Fivemiletown, ensuring that she can gain her bachelor’s degree without accumulating any tuition fee debt along the way.
Even though the doors are closed at all South West College campuses today, Tuesday 17th October, due to the aftermath of storm Ophelia, teaching activities at the College will continue throughout the day via the College’s Virtual Learning programme.
Young people from across counties Tyrone and Fermanagh celebrated gaining a range of qualifications, new friends and a new direction in life through an innovative and inclusive learning programme launched by South West College (SWC) in September 2014.
South West College was recently acknowledged for outstanding practice of running ASDAN courses by ASDAN Education, a pioneering curriculum development organisation and awarding body.
