The South West College Blog, Way out West, picked up the award in the blog category at the 2017 Digital Communication Awards, which took place in Berlin on Friday 29th September. The blog, which was launched in January 2016 and offers ‘a new voice from within South West College’, saw off competition from companies such as IKEA and IBM to win the prestigious award in a competition which aims to ‘honour outstanding projects, campaigns and innovations in the field of online communications.’

Motor Vehicle Movers, a team of young people from South West College (SWC) in Omagh, are celebrating today having been named People’s Prize winners at the Northern Ireland final of Lloyds Banking Group’s Money for Life Challenge, a UK-wide competition to inspire better money management skills in communities across the UK.
South West College Essential Skills learners, Elizabeth O’Neill from Enniskillen and Bernard Green from Omagh have been awarded the County Fermanagh and County Tyrone (respectively) 2015 Essential Skills Learner of the Year award, at the annual Essential Skills Awards ceremony, which took place at Riddel Hall, Queen’s University, Belfast.
South West College received 3 awards at the 16th Annual Plaisterers’ Training Awards, held at the Plaisterers’ Hall in the City of London on Tuesday 4th November. The awards recognise the highest standards of achievement in training and education within the UK plastering trade.
