Patrick McGranaghan from Strabane has kick-started his career through the
Going Places programme at South West College (SWC), which has given him the employability skills, confidence, and qualifications to land his ‘dream job’, and also paved the way for future further education opportunities.
South West College (SWC) hopes to strengthen Northern Ireland’s marine economy by adapting existing technology and maximising the potential of the province’s aquatic resources.
Young people from across counties Tyrone and Fermanagh celebrated gaining a range of qualifications, new friends and a new direction in life through an innovative and inclusive learning programme launched by South West College (SWC) in September 2014.
South West College in association with the Department for Employment and Learning and the Connected programme held a Business Breakfast for employers in the construction and engineering industry entitled ‘Working with Partners in Industry’ in the Gallery Restaurant Omagh Campus on Thursday 3rd April. The event was held to promote engagement on Foundation degree courses at the College.
Young people who have successfully completed the Connections programme at South West College were recently praised for their efforts in overcoming personal barriers to return to education, training or employment and urged to continue to believe in themselves to achieve their goals.
