South West College (SWC) has recorded a record of six winners of the coveted
Institution of Civil Engineers Quest Technician Scholarship. This prestigious award is a recognition of the achievement and ambition of higher technicians in the civil engineering industry. It is open to all eligible students across the Northern Ireland Region of the ICE and applicants are required to complete a very comprehensive application form, focussing on academic achievement, industrial experience and most importantly career aspirations.
Lauren Crozier from Omagh is following her passion for Engineering and ‘Earning while she Learns’ at South West College (SWC), Omagh. Lauren is studying the
Ulster University Foundation Degree in Engineering with Specialism in Mechatronics, part-time. This allows her to work full-time as a Higher Level Apprentice (HLA) at Scotts Bakery, Fivemiletown, ensuring that she can gain her bachelor’s degree without accumulating any tuition fee debt along the way.
Employment and Learning Minister Dr Stephen Farry has visited South West College in Omagh where he met a number of Higher Level Apprentices.
