South West College (SWC) is set to welcome prospective students to a range of on-campus Open Days to explore their wide range of Full-Time Further and Higher Education courses and Apprenticeship starting in September. Students should pre-register for the events by visiting the Colleges website at www.swc.ac.uk.
Over 300 lecturing staff came together at SWC Dungannon on Monday for the annual SWC Curriculum Conference - ‘It’s good to talk; it’s good to listen’.
South West College played host to the Higher Education Enhancement Conference in it’s Dungannon campus. This was the first in a series of collaborative events that will be designed to support continuous personal development within the Higher Education sector.
Motor Vehicle Movers, a team of young people from South West College (SWC) in Omagh, are celebrating today having been named People’s Prize winners at the Northern Ireland final of Lloyds Banking Group’s Money for Life Challenge, a UK-wide competition to inspire better money management skills in communities across the UK.
South West College Essential Skills learners, Elizabeth O’Neill from Enniskillen and Bernard Green from Omagh have been awarded the County Fermanagh and County Tyrone (respectively) 2015 Essential Skills Learner of the Year award, at the annual Essential Skills Awards ceremony, which took place at Riddel Hall, Queen’s University, Belfast.
Early years and pre-school educators from across Counties Tyrone and Fermanagh gathered at the South West College (SWC) in Enniskillen for an early years conference aimed at addressing current issues in early years education. The conference was also attended by staff and students from a range of childcare and early years programmes at the college.
Declan Mcgrath age 20 from Fermanagh, Northern Ireland and currently employed at Bundoran Motors, Co Donegal, Ireland was named as one of the competitors for Squad UK (Automotive Technology) for WorldSkills São Paulo 2015 after competing over three days of intense competition at Emtec Nottingham. Declan was invited to take part in Squad UK after excelling at the WorldSkills UK Pre-Selection Skills Competitions.
For the first time in history, Ireland will be represented at this summer’s Singapore Garden Festival ‘Windows to the World’ category as South West College student, Jenny Murphy accepts her invitation to showcase her creative blooms at Asia’s much awaited best garden and flower show.
