South West College (SWC) is now enrolling for part-time courses
starting in January. Students join a part-time course at SWC each year for a range of vocational, academic and leisure courses to pursue a career goal, for professional development or simply just for fun.
South West College (SWC) are introducing a new course in September 2021, City & Guilds Level 3 Apprenticeship in Dental Nursing.
The course is available to study part-time in Omagh. The qualification focuses on the technical skills and knowledge required to be a professional dental nurse.
Omagh screenwriter and former South West College (SWC) student, Aidan McAleer, won three screenwriting awards last year. Aidan won 'Best First-time Screenwriter' at the Kosice International Monthly Film Festival; 'Best Feature Script' at the Prague International Monthly Film Festival'; and ‘Best Screenplay' at the Canadian Cinematography Awards, for his screenplay, 'Forgiven', which tells an emotional story of accidental manslaughter and the swirling guilt and aftermath that follows it.
On Tuesday 4th April senior leaders from across Northern Ireland’s Further Education (FE) sector and the Department for the Economy (DfE) came together with key stakeholders from Invest NI, Innovate UK, and InterTrade Ireland, to strengthen the sectors focus on innovation development and growth.
The South West College Foundation Diploma in Art and Design class of 2015 welcomed their family, friends and special guests to the hugely popular and widely anticipated end of year art exhibition, hosted at the Higher Bridges Gallery at the Clinton Centre in Enniskillen from 8th – 22nd May.
It was all for a good cause at South West College recently, when the STEP students at South West College Omagh Campus took part in ‘Wear it, Beat it’ fundraising activities in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
South West College in association with the Department for Employment and Learning and the Connected programme held a Business Breakfast for employers in the construction and engineering industry entitled ‘Working with Partners in Industry’ in the Gallery Restaurant Omagh Campus on Thursday 3rd April. The event was held to promote engagement on Foundation degree courses at the College.
