A recent survey developed by Transport Research Partners in association with the FASTER Project partnership examined the attitudes of motorists and road users across Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland (Border Region) and Western Scotland to the usage of electric and low emission vehicles. 1,485 responses were received, with 52% of all motorists indicating that they were considering the switch to an electric vehicle when making their next vehicle purchase.
College confirms role as project partner on €6.4 million cross border programme to install new public charging network.
South West College has recently been announced as one of seven programme partners on a new initiative designed to increase access to public charging infrastructure for Electric Vehicles in a bid to encourage reduced carbon emissions.
South West College have officially received the keys of their brand new, state-of-the-art motor vehicle workshop on the Gortin Road, Omagh. The workshop features the latest diagnostic and mechanical equipment available within the Motor Vehicle Industry, and facilities for training in EBS braking, active suspension systems, ADAS steering systems and engine horsepower testing.
