The Education and Training Inspectorate (ETI) has officially declared South West College as a Grade 1 College. The College is the only Regional College in Northern Ireland to achieve this accolade ranking it among the top 4 colleges within the 350 across the UK.
Young people who have successfully completed the Connections programme at South West College were recently praised for their efforts in overcoming personal barriers to return to education, training or employment and urged to continue to believe in themselves to achieve their goals.
It has just been announced that South West College will be the venue for the Autoskills Northern Ireland regional finals on the 7th May 2014. This event will see the top motor vehicle and heavy vehicle technicians from across the province competing to claim the accolade of Northern Ireland Technician of the year 2014 for both categories.
This week will be no ordinary week for Declan McGrath from, Belleek. Declan is due to take part in an intensive Auto Skills UK selection competition for the World Skills finals in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2015.

The Deaf Communications Infrastructure Development (DCID) Project culminated recently with a conference held at the Lough Erne Resort, Enniskillen. The DCID project, funded by the European Union INTERREG IVA Programme, has run for the last 3 years and has given deaf people from the border areas of Donegal, Fermanagh, Tyrone, Monaghan, and Sligo an opportunity to teach Sign Language (either British or Irish) to the hearing people from these areas.
Beauty Therapy students of South West College are enthused to be organising a fundraising event along with Cancer Focus on Thursday 5 December 2013 from 10am to 7pm in the Dungannon Campus.
South West College has just launched its Friends and Alumni Association with membership from across the Enniskillen, Omagh, Dungannon and Cookstown Campus areas.
