The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plastering - Solid (Basic) is a competence qualification that has been developed for delivery in a working environment. The course has been designed to develop and recognise your skills, knowledge and competence so that you can work as a plasterer within the construction industry or progress onto further learning.
You will be required to complete Essential Skills in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT if you do not have a GCSE grade C or Level 2 Essential Skills in English, Maths and Information Technology. You will also study broader transferable skills in Employability and Personal and Social Development.
You will learn the essential practical skills and knowledge necessary to enable you to gain employment in this field. These are covered in a range of practical and theory modules covering: You will also study broader transferable skills in Employability and Personal and Social Development where appropriate.
Achievement of this qualification will be assessed via a combination of knowledge testing and practical assessments. Practical assessments will be assessed on work based evidence and direct observation in the workplace.
This level 2 qualification will give you a robust understanding of Plastering. This means you will learn the skills, knowledge and competence required for you to enter work or progress onto the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plastering.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however, learners must have the potential to successfully gain the qualification. The minimum age requirement for this qualification is 16 plus.
