The Dry lining/Interior Systems qualifications are currently offered at Level 2 and is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills to pursue a career within the Construction industry. The course supports the knowledge and Skills development requirements for access into the Drylining/Interior Systems working environment. Drylining/Interior Systems is an emerging trade which is experiencing significant growth and there is a shortage of trained operatives in this area.

You will be employed from day one with a progressive company carrying out contracts all over Europe. The Apprenticeship offers an excellent remuneration package and there are opportunities to travel. Health and Safety gear and full tool set supplied. Course delivery is block based with only 20 weeks in college and the remainder on site. You will be required to complete Essential Skills in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT if you do not have a GCSE grade C or Level 2 Essential Skills in English, Maths and Information Technology.
You will be part of a team working on Drylining/Interior Systems projects. You will carry out work in the commercial and domestic market and will learn a range of skills such as: how to read plans, line out compartments to form flats or office space. You will learn how to measure, mark out, cut and erect partition walls, erect ceilings and form lift shafts. You will learn how to fix drylining board to walls and ceilings and how to carry out fire proofing.
The course is assessed through a series of competence based assessments within College and the work place. Two core units have e-evolve multiple choice externally marked end tests.
Achievement of this qualification will provide opportunities to progress to further qualifications and training at Level 3.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however, learners must have the potential to successfully gain the qualification at level 2.
