Description

The Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship will provide learners with a range of technical skills and knowledge enabling them to either gain employment or progress into further training within the Manufacturing or Maintenance Engineering sector.

Additional Information

You will be required to complete Essential Skills in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT if you do not have a GCSE grade C or Level 2 Essential Skills in English, Maths and Information Technology. Optional units can be undertaken to support the pathway chosen and company/job requirements.

Course Content

There are a variety of pathways to follow and learners will gain the knowledge, skills and aptitudes to progress into employment or progress into higher level courses.

Assessment Method

Achievement of this qualification will be assessed via a combination of knowledge testing in the format of multiple choice questions under exam conditions and practical assessments. Practical assessments will be assessed on work based evidence and direct observation in the workplace.

Progression Opportunities

Completion of Level 3 Engineering enables career progression to Level 5 Higher Level Apprenticeships in Engineering in the following disciplines: Mechatronics/Manufacturing Engineering. Alternatively, an HNC L4 in Engineering is available.

Entry Requirements

All candidates will need to be in paid employment. Candidates will usually require a related L2 Qualification. Adult entrants will be considered if they have appropriate prior learning and experience.
