Therefore learners (normally aged 16-25) who are keen to build a career in the industry can take this VCQ as part of the Apprenticeship framework.
Apprentices will be employed and attend college 2 days per week and employer for 3 days per week. Those not in paid employment will attend college on the traineeship programme 3 days per week and work-placement for a minimum of 1 day per week.
You will be able to remove, test and replace a series of electrical components from a range of vehicles. You will understand simple circuits and their components. You will understand how to create, store and distribute electricity in low and high voltage systems.
The knowlege component of this qualification is independently assessed via online testing. The tests are mapped to each knowledge unit's learning outcomes and assessment criteria to ensure coverage. These tests are marked electronically by IMI.
