Description

The overarching aim of the BEng (Hons) Building Services with Sustainable Energy programme is to produce high calibre graduates who shall have obtained the relevant competencies to undertake roles within one of the many disciplines of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Energy. The programme has been developed to produce professional and competent project managers and engineers equipped with industry relevant technical and managerial skills.

Teaching Delivery Statement

The teaching and learning strategy within this programme will comprise of a range of delivery methods such as face to face, online and blended. All methods used have the full agreement of students, external examiners and awarding body partners.

Assessment Method

Assessment of core modules will be by a combination of Course Work, Professional Report(s), Presentation(s) and Examinations. *The minimum overall pass mark of 40% is required to be achieved in all modules. Progression Opportunities

Upon successful completion of the BEng in Building Services with Sustainable Energy programme graduates may consider entering into employment within the mechanical, electrical or energy industries or continuing to study by applying for a place on a post-graduate programme i.e. MSc.

Entry Requirements

Entry to the BEng Honours Top-Up programme requires applicants to have successfully completed a Foundation Degree (or other relevant Level 5 qualification such as a Higher National Diploma) in a related discipline, qualifications deemed equivalent, or by the college’s policy relating to APL. Students must also hold GCSE English Language and Maths at grade 4 (grade C) or above. (Level 2 literacy and numeracy qualifications are also accepted).
