Description

This level 2 Award is comprised of only one unit and is a helpful introduction to the area of End of Life Care. The course will give those who have little or no knowledge, a basic understanding of end of life care.

Course Content

The purpose of this unit is to assess the learner’s knowledge and understanding when beginning to work in end of life care. Objectives:

  • Know different perspectives on death and dying
  • Understand the aims, principles and policies of end of life care
  • Understand factors regarding communication in end of life care
  • Know how to access the range of support services available to individuals and others
  • Assessment Method

    The unit is assessed via written assignment and candidates are encouraged to complete their assignment using the E-portfolio route. Where this is not possible, word processed/handwritten submission will be accepted.
