Description

This qualification is ideal if you have management/ supervisory responsibilities but no formal training/ qualifications. It is particularly suited to practising team leaders seeking to move to the next level of management, and managers who need to lead people through organisational change, budget cuts or other challenges._x000D_ _x000D_ This qualification is made up of a wide range of units covering core management skills. By undertaking this programme you will develop key leadership and management skills across a range of areas._x000D_

Course Content

This course can be taken at Award, Certificate or Diploma level depending on the number of Units Taken. The units covered include Organising and Delegating, Managing Projects, Leading Meetings, Motivating Workers, Managing Learners and Relationships, Plan and Manage Change, Understanding Leadership etc.

Core Modules

Module are made up of a range of areas such as: Core Management Skills - such as understanding how to organise/ delegate Perform Management Tasks - manage projects, lead meetings Team Leadership - for example, how to motivate people to improve performance Change and Innovation - plan and manage change, create a culture of innovation Communication Skills Managing People and Relationships - negotiation, networking, building relationships Leadership - understand leadership, use action learning to develop your leadership capabilities

Assessment Method

Knowledge, understanding and application of theory to industry will be principally assessed through written assignments, presentations and professional discussion. There are no formal exams.

Progression Opportunities

Learners can to progress to the level 5 Certificate/Diploma or any other suitable relevant qualification.

Entry Requirements

• Hold 4 GCSEs, grades A-C, to include English and Maths _x000D_ * Where candidates do not have GCSE English/ Maths, they can enrol on Essential Skills Literacy/ Numeracy at SWC_x000D_ Desirable Criteria – experience in supervising a work team._x000D_
