Description
Our Level 1 welding courses are ideal for anyone who wants to become a welder and is new to welding, metal fabrication, thermal cutting and/or brazing and soldering.
Course Content
You will learn how to produce a range of welded joints to acceptable industrial standards, using the MIG, MMA or TIG welding process.

MIG, MMA or TIG welding
Assessment Method
All welding plate/sheet sizes to be 200 mm long minimum by nominally 50 mm wide.
Acceptance to be assessed by visual inspection.To gain an Award the candidate must successfully complete all five practical assignments and the oral questions.
Progression Opportunities
The level 1 awards could help you develop your welding and fabrication career and take on jobs that require basic skills. After taking a Level 1 qualification, you could move on to a Level 2 Award or Certificate.
