This Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Site Wood Occuptions (Carpentry) qualification is designed to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence demonstrated by learners in the workplace. This Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plastering provides the opportunity for learners to demonstrate their competence.
This course combines classroom study with practical work experience covering the following units: Confirming the Occupational Method of Work in the Workplace; Confirming Work Activities and Resources for an Occupational Work Area in the Workplace; Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace; Developing and Maintaining Good Occupational Working Relationships in the Workplace; Installing Direct Bond Dry Linings in the Workplace; Installing Mechanically Fixed Plasterboard in the Workplace; Producing Complex External Rendering Finishes in the Workplace; Producing Complex Internal Solid Plastering Finishes in the Workplace; Producing Granolithic Paving Work in the Workplace; Producing Specialised Plasterer's Surfaces in the Workplace;
The assessments for this qualification are multiple choice knowledge tests and practical assignments. Practical assignments have been developed for flexibility to assess learners in the manner which best suits. The knowledge assessment is designed to be taken as an online test.
This qualification offers employment opportunities as learners are demonstrating occupational competence by qualification achievement. It also provides opportunities to progress to further qualifications and training at Level 4.
A Level 2 qualification is required for those with less than 5 years' plastering work experience. It is necessary to ensure that learners have the potential and opportunity to successfully gain the qualification.
