Below are the sessions that are available for this course.


This course will allow you to build upon and progress with your current computing knowledge. You will learn to confidently selecting and applying ICT skills independently to develop solutions requiring overall structure. In Level 2 Essential Skills ICT, learners will use a mixture of packages for word processing, spreadsheets and databases to meet the needs of their assignment and which they can use in their work or personal life. Learners will also learn to use email for the sending and receiving or attachments and storing contacts, file saving and retrieving and correct PC operations.

Course Content

In Essential Skills ICT you will use the Microsoft Office suite to create a portfolio of work based on a real-life scenario given to you by your tutor. To help compete this you will also use the internet and search engines, use email for contact purposes and sending attachments and basic file saving and retrieving.

    Assessment Method

    Acceptance to be assessed by visual inspection and destructive testing.

    Progression Opportunities

  • Entry Requirements

    Completed Essential Skills ICT Level 1 or a good level of experience in using the Microsoft Office package.
