    The Foundation Degree in Science (FdSc) in Health and Social Care is an innovative and contemporary course from Ulster University which will be attractive to both students and employers in the Health and Social Care sector.     This qualification will prepare you for working with injured clients. You will develop a number of skills which include: skills to conduct subjective and objective assessments, covering passive and resisted range of movements, posture analysis, functional and special tests, skills to work safely and effectively on muscles and para-tendon injuries using a variety of soft tissue techniques and you will be able to advise on treatment modalities to support soft tissue repair.
    The course comprises of the practical aspects of sports massage and learning the correct techniques to a competent standard. Theoretical learning will also take place and learners will be expected to complete assignments by agreed deadlines. Practical assessments is also part of this qualification in a commercial setting.
