A list of accommodation for the local area surrounding the campus you attend is available through Student Support. The College is unable to approve or recommend accommodation so students must satisfy themselves to its suitability.

News Story Career Guidance

Each campus has a dedicated Careers Guidance Officer, who is available to offer advice
and assistance to students wishing to apply for any course/s. The Careers Guidance
Officer is also the main point of contact for students as they prepare for Higher Education
providing them with support and guidance when completing the relevant UCAS or CAO
forms.

Other services provided include the following;

  • Progression to Higher Education (UCAS applications)
  • Job search skills
  • Constructing your Curriculum Vitae
  • Interview techniques
  • Aptitude testing
  • Sources of financial support
  • Information on career paths
  • Information on all the above topics can be found under ‘Student Support Services’ in the Careers Guidance section of the VLE.

Students joining from overseas often require a little extra help in finding their way around. Here at South West College, our aim is to look after the health and well-being of all our students in the widest sense. When you join South West College you will have access to a network of student support services from academic through to personal, from people who are easy to contact and who can give you friendly and expert guidance.

As part of its English Language Support Programme, South West College offers a number of English language courses (ESOL) throughout the academic year. These aim to build up the confidence and skills you need to work successfully in your chosen course of study and contribute to your future professional development.
