News Story National Awards (EDEXCEL) for post 16 pupils
These vocational programmes are equal to one ‘A’ Level and accepted by Universities for entry. To gain a National Award qualification, students must study 6 units. This programme has been specifically designed to support local schools and their pupils in achievement their Entitlement Framework responsibilities. It is hoped that this programme will give students an added dimension to their career prospects and curriculum vitae, setting them apart in today’s competitive market place. This course provides an insight into Rural Sustainability and Environmental Science covering areas such as; Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Care and Environmental Conservation.
This course provides an insight into the area of Early Years Care and Education, covering areas such as; Health, Public Services, Early Years Care, Child Development and Well Being.
This course provides an exciting opportunity to study the rapidly growing area of games
development. Industry standards in games development cover a wide spectrum of activities such as 3D modelling, animation, motion graphics, sound, video etc.

This course provides an insight into the area of Construction, covering areas such as; Construction, Planning, the Built Environment, and Building and Construction.

This course provides an insight into the area of Electronics, covering areas such as; Business Systems for Technicians, Communications for Technicians, Science for Technicians, Mathematics for Technicians, Electrical and Electronic Principles.
This course provides an insight into the area of Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies and will prove extremely beneficial to students contemplating third level programmes within this discipline.
This course provides an insight into the field of Health and Social Care. This covers areas such as Social Care, Human Physiology and Public Health.
This course provides an insight into the area of Hospitality an Tourism, covering areas relevant to both sectors. This course will provide an excellent foundation for students wishing to enter onto any of the wide variety of third level programmes available within this sector.
This course provides an insight into the ever evolving area of Media, covering areas such as; Arts, Publishing, Media and Communications.
This course provides an insight into Motor Sport Technology, covering areas such as Budgets, Logistics, Event Management, Team Performance, Health and Safety, Data Collection and Interpretation, Motor Sport Physics and Combustion Science. Practical experience will be obtained through vehicle preparation and servicing, suspension and set up, electrical systems, tyres, transmissions and engines. This course provides students with the necessary skills and qualifications to progress to degree / Foundation Degree level programmes.
This course provides an insight into the area of Performing Arts covering areas such as Performing to an audience, Principles of Acting and Classical Theatre Performance.
This course provides an insight into the Travel and Tourism Industry, covering areas such as The Business of Travel and Tourism, The UK as a destination, Customer Services, Retail and Business Travel Operations.
