Innovative thinking means better business in Dungannon

Eight businesses in the Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council area are being given the opportunity access 6 days free expertise from University of Ulster and South West College through the Innovation Promoters Programme.
The Innovation Promoters Programme is being delivered as part of Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council’s Local Economic Development Plan which was launched recently by Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster.
Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster said:
“In the current economic climate it is imperative that local businesses are assisted through innovative programmes like this. I hope businesses in the Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough Council will benefit from the support that will be provided through this Economic Development Plan.”
The Innovation Promoters Programme offers up to six days support from University of Ulster and South West College academics to work on projects tailored to individual company needs.
Aaron Black from the South West College InnoTech Centre said:
“We welcome applications from businesses from a range of sectors, typically projects which may be eligible for the programme include new product development, engineering design, feasibility study, prototyping and product testing. “
