Building Creative Links between Enniskillen and Blackpool

Enniskillen Campus had two visiting lecturers from the Creative Arts department of Blackpool and The Fylde College. John Gibson and Andy Doherty gave an inspirational overview of the college, facilities, courses and examples of students work. Their graphic design department focuses on employer and placements for the students giving them the edge when applying for employment. This focus enhances the employability of their students and therefore their progression rates into work is very high.

Students from Foundation Art & Design, Extended National Diploma Art & Design and Extended National Diploma in IT courses were encouraged to think outside the box when looking for career paths. They were given advice on different pathways and specialisms. This collaboration between Enniskillen and Blackpool has been on-going now for the past 3 years building links that will benefit both staff and students alike.

So with UCAS looming students have a lot to think about with regard to career choices, destination for studies, finance and chosen courses. Thanks to John and Andy the students now are more informed to life on campus in Blackpool.
