Step Up to Sustainable Employment
South West College has received funding under the Northern Ireland European Social Fund 2014-2020 for its Project.
This innovative Employment Solutions Programme SUSE+, part financed by European Social Fund & the Department for the Economy, + is geared towards those aged 16-65 and provides support, guidance and qualifications as well as support into sustainable employment.
The project aims:
• To reduce unemployment by assisting those furthest from the labour market to overcome their barriers to accessing and sustaining employment
• Combat economic inactivity by helping individuals to make the transition towards the labour market
SUSE+ works in partnership with DAERA (Department of Agriculture, Environment & Rural Affairs) Health and Social Trusts, Fermanagh & Omagh & Mid Ulster District Council across Cookstown, Dungannon, Fermanagh, Magherafelt and Omagh.
Every participant can avail of dedicated 1:1 mentoring support accompanied by a suite of provision, including Level 1 qualifications and specialised training. Enhanced support in areas such as financial, health & digital literacy will ensure that barriers to employment are addressed.
