SWC Circular Economy Conference
SWC Circular Economy Conference
The Circular Economy is a concept centred on reducing waste and minimising use of finite raw materials by maximising the value in the resources we have. In a more circular business model, the materials we currently think of as waste will become food, fuel or raw materials for other processes. This will reduce our reliance on virgin materials, and reduce the financial and environmental impacts of waste disposal.
The main objectives of The Circular Economy Conference are:
-
To raise awareness of the help and support available to large, medium and small enterprises to explore circular economy business models
-
To discuss success stories and identify common pitfalls in circular economy based and sustainable business models
- To develop training models to upskill key employees in sustainable businesses techniques to manage: resource use, waste management and environmental impacts
- To set up a shared platform for exchange of skills, knowledge and practical business development tools
