The South West College operates in four campuses in Cookstown, Dungannon, Enniskillen and Omagh and, of the six new area based colleges, it is the smallest in size, but arguably, covers the largest geographical area of counties Tyrone and Fermanagh.

As a result of this merger, there is now an opportunity to enlarge and expand the curriculum offers to support the regional and local economy. The College aims to provide a caring and supportive environment for all learners and a professional business-like relationship with all employers and other external stakeholders. The South West College has 18,500 student enrolments, is involved in a number of European projects, and has a staffing complement of 479 full-time staff and a similar number of part-time staff and a budget of £35M.

Youthscape Programme Co-ordiantor
The Programme Co-ordinator will be responsible for the overall co-ordination of the Youthscape Programme including the achievement of all agreed targets and co-ordination of the activity of programme partners and supervision of Youthscape staff across multi-bases. The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be responsible for co-ordinating the monitoring and evaluation of data to inform the measurement of distance travelled by participants and contribution to Peace IV results.  The postholder will support the quality assurance processes, ensure completion of Personal Development Plan and tracking of participants throughout delivery phase and post programme progression. Erne Campus Project Officer (Fit-Out)

The Erne Campus Development is an ambitious project aiming to achieve new standards in sustainability and a fresh approach to pedagogy in the FE/HE sector.  The Project Officer will develop specification and work within Procurement processes to structure and progress the fit-out of this project to completion.  The Project Officer will prepare appropriate, design led interior fit-out packages to match its overall high design standards.   The Project Officer’s engagement with the Stakeholders will inform the pedagogic and sustainability driven approach to fitting out the new campus for all students, staff and visitors.

 

The Project Officer position for the Erne Campus will be expected to work with the Project Sponsor and translate the interior fit-out requirements of four departments into a cohesive interior fit-out approach for use with both the general public and staff within the college. These will range from public accessible areas to staff and student spaces, who have a range of accessibility requirements, used in the delivery of a rounded educational experience.  The fit-out packages will require detailed specification and procurement co-ordination with the Integrated Consultancy Team/Designer’s (ICT) and Integrated Supply Team/Contractor’s programme and include decant from Fairview to Erne Campuses.  The interior fit-out will also be developed in a virtual campus and the Project Officer will liaise with the Project Sponsor and Immersive Designer on this aspect.
