The course provides a balance between theory and practice that meets the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy's recommendations for counsellor training programmes. The programme also provides an exit point at CertHE level and is accredited by the National Counselling Society for Learners who wish to gain knowledge of counselling to support other professional roles. It is important that Learners have good mental/psychological/emotional health to support their own wellbeing and that of clients when they are in clinical placement.
