This course is a part time top-up BSc Hons Degree programme which follows successful completion of the Foundation Degree in Sustainable Construction. It is designed to prepare you for a professional career in Construction Engineering & Management through gaining cutting edge technical skills and knowledge necessary for the modern Construction Industry. It will provide you with specific practical and professional skills such as analysis, organisation, design, teamwork and communications.

Course Content

This is a part time top-up degree programme - Year 1 and Year 2 are exempt due to the successful completion of the relevant Foundation Degree to the required standard. Students will undertake the following modules; Year 3 Modules Construction Technology 2 Building Design Construction law Production Management in Construction Safety: An International & Ethical Perspective Year 4 Modules Construction Project Management Building Performance & Regulation Practice & Ethics Year 5 Modules Research & Dissertation Collaborative Project

Assessment Method

Assessment is carried out via a number of methods - assignments/course work, project/group work, presentations, online tests and end examinations.

Entry Requirements

Students must have successfully completed the Foundation Degree in Sustainable Construction to the required standard in order to gain entry to the Part Time Top-up BSc Hons Degree in Construction Engineering & Management. Students must also posses GCSE Mathematics & English at Grade C or better or a qualification deemed as equivalent.
