Description

This course has a broad application, from school leavers and national diploma learners to employees wanting to up-skill. Learners will complete all core modules in their first year and then choose a specialism in their second year. Specialist subjects include Wind Turbine Technology, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering. The course focuses on common core engineering disciplines and skills and then incorporates topics relevant to each specialism.

Assessment Method

This course is primarily assessed by coursework and examination, with a focus on work-based projects.

Entry Requirements

Minimum 32 UCAS points (80 in old UCAS points), 56 UCAS points (140 in old UCAS points) for fast-track option, and GCSE English and Maths Grade C. Refer to general entry requirements. International students must meet the general entrance requirements for admission to any College First Degree, Foundation Degree or Higher National Diploma. English language requirements for international applicants is Academic IELTS 6.0 with no band score less than 5.5. Trinity ISE – Pass at Level 3 also meets this requirement for Tier 4 visa purposes.
