Course Content

The CIPD Level 5 Intermediate Certificate in HR Management provides the perfect platform to further develop your HR career at management level. It will help you develop your ability to evaluate the effectiveness of different HR models and practices, and will increase your understanding of external factors that impact on HR and organisations. You will study a range of units including the core units: • Business Issues and the Context of HR • Developing Professional Practice; and • Using Information in HR. There are also optional units that include: • Managing and Co-ordinating the Human Resource Function. • Resourcing and Talent Planning and Employment Law. Whilst building expertise in your chosen HR specialist subjects, you will also develop your planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Assessment Method

The CIPD National Assessment Bank assessments are used to test knowledge, understanding and application of learning for each module. The formats for all assessments are written reports and presentations.

Entry Requirements

Four GCSE passes including English and Maths and one A Level or equivalent approved qualification at Level 3 including approved Access course. Evidence of ability to undertake the programme through the accreditation of prior experiential learning in a Human Resource role. An Interview is required prior to entry onto this course.
