Course Content

A blend of compulsory Core units and optional units support local industry requirements for specific occupational pathways such as CAD Design, Quality, Production Planning, Management and CNC programming. Other optional units include Testing and Software Development.

Assessment Method

Practical evidence will be assessed in the workplace. Knowledge evidence will be assessed by completion of a BTEC L3 Diploma in Engineering, involving a number of written and practical assessments.

Progression Opportunities

Learners who successfully complete Level 3 may progress into supervisory, managerial or technical fields within the Engineering industry. Alternatively, learners may wish to progress to a Foundation Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, or a Level 4 HNC.
