Course Content
The course consists of 2 units Unit 1 Computerised Payroll theory which examines Health, Safety and Security, Data Protection, Organisatinal procedures and the Statutory requirements for submitting information. Unit 2 Computerised Payroll skills looks at the practical skills of operating a payroll system processing information on starters, leavers, and current employees, processing the payroll on a pay period basis and backing up and updates as necessary.
Assessment Method
Assessemnt is by means of a knowledge test for Unit 1 (which is internally marked, and then sampled by the Awarding body)and a practical examination for Unit 2 which is externally marked by the Awarding body.
Progression Opportunities
Learners can progress to a Level 3 Award in Computerised Payroll or other suitable Business Admininstration/Office skills course
