Description

The aim of this qualification is to recognise the skills, knowledge and competence required for an Learners to work unsupervised as a personal trainer. This includes being able to offer onetoone training, baseline assessment, nutritional advice and progressive programming which is specific to the Learners needs of a client. REPs CPD points: 20.

Course Content

Learners must complete a range of units including: Anatomy and Physiology for Exercise; Principles of Exercise and Health; Health, Safety and Welfare in a Fitness Environment; Know how to Support Clients who take part in Exercise and Physical Activity; Applying the Principles of Nutrition as a part of a Personal Training Programme and Programming Personal Training with Clients and Delivering Personal Training.

Assessment Method

Learners will be assessed through CYQ online exams, workbooks and practical observations.

Progression Opportunities

Successful Learners can progress onto other professional qualifications such as Level 3 Sports Massage or Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral.

Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing or equivalent. An interview will be required.
