It will allow learners to develop skills in performance, acting, singing and production techniques. It is broadly equivalent to 1 AS level and attracts UCAS points.

Assessment Method

The Investigating Practitioner's work is externally assessed and the Developing Skills and Techniques for Live Performance is assessed internally.

There is the potential to progress to larger qualifications in the performing arts sector. The course will also develop transferable skills such as self presentation, confidence and team work.

Entry Requirements

A minimum of 6 points at GCSE (3Ds or equivalent). Adult learners without the entry requirements must demonstrate an interest in the performing arts. Entry is subject to a successful interview.
