This programme is equivalent to 1 A Level and is particularly relevant to anyone who needs more points for University applications or wants a very good insight to Business Subjects. This business modules studied include the Business Environment, Business Accounting, Developing Teams in Business,Introducting to Marketing,Business Communication and Business Resources. You will have the opportunity to take part in business events, entrepreneurship activities, build strong business knowledge and skills with particular emphasis on developing the personal skills to work in business or to progress to Higher Education with confidence. You will experience the international dimension of business by participating in European project work.

Assessment Method

Assessment will focus mainly on project based coursework, practical reports, reflective reviews and oral/written submissions.

Progression Opportunities

Progress depends on what other qualifications Learners has. It could with enough points take Learners onto relevant Higher Education Courses at South West College, or other University. For example, the College Foundation Degrees in Business Services Management or in Financial Services.

Entry Requirements

The minimum requirement for entry is 4 GCSEs grade C or above. Entry requirements may be raised subject to demand. Learners will be required to complete Essential Skills in Literacy, Numeracy and IT if they do not have a GCSE grade C in English, Maths or IT. Entry is subject to successful interview.
